Argentum: Contemporary Silverpoint
Friday, October 18 – Wednesday, November 20, 2019
Pivoting from 2017’s “Argentum: Contemporary Silverpoint” at Manhattan’s Marbury NYC to travel to Hillsdale College, “Argentum” explores the revival of the anachronistic medium of silverpoint by contemporary artists. Silverpoint requires fastidious draftsmanship as artists use a stylus with no erasure. Within the ethereal confines of the medium, the artists employ a diversity of concepts, narratives, and approaches within their drawings only matched by the diversity of both their creative and cultural backgrounds.
