About Us
The Fine Arts Colloquium is a student-run event which highlights exceptional undergraduate research in the visual arts. Our annual conference allows selected student speakers from colleges across the nation to share their work with an academic audience. A keynote address by an accomplished art historian complements the student research presentations. Each year, the colloquium committee selects one student paper for a $200 prize that the Hillsdale College Fine Arts Department awards. Winning papers are also published on our website.

This hybrid conference will feature twenty-minute research presentations by undergraduates and the keynote address by
Helen Jean M.F.A, the Jacquie Dorrance Curator of Fashion Design
at the Phoenix Art Museum

Submission Guidelines
-
250-300 word abstract of your research paper about visual art from any geographic region or historical epoch, as well as any artistic medium
-
Resumé (CV)
-
In the body of your email, include the paper’s title and the name of the course instructor/title of the course for which the paper was originally written
